Krzysztof Ryszard Brych

A native of Luboń born in Poznań. Multi instrumentalist specializing in wind instruments. During his childhood he traversed Europe with the Stefan Stuligrosz Boys Choir. After college and army duty he moved to Scandinavia for few years to play music for the natives of the fiords. He learned how to play whistles in Poznan's Celtic music group Triskel. Now he teaches the whistle and other wind instruments to young people at the Luboń Culture Centre. His pastime is angling.






Michał Jankowski
acoustic guitar

English degree holder, lexicographer and computer scientist, co-author of several dictionaries and books. Played the flute in music school, but ended up a self-taught guitar player. Lecturer at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań for over twenty years. Never turns down requests for professional consultations from Polish people singing in English. Plays tennis or ping-pong in his free time (reportedly not so badly).






Bartłomiej Krawczak

A native of Poznań, attended M. Karłowicz Musical High School and II degree F. Chopin Musical School in Poznań (percussion class), cooperated with bands and musicians from Poland and from abroad. Conquered main musical awards (f.i. in the Beimcik-Fortuna Quintet - Grand Prix and Special Prize of the Polish National Television Channel TVP Kultura at the Niemen Non Stop Festiwal in Słupsk, and in the Big Band Online - a distinction for his vivacity At the Nowy Tomyśl Big Band Festival 2005). He says about himself: My life runs across music - I constantly listen, practice or play. I am inspired by R'n'B, funk, soul and Celtic jazz.





Mariusz Sprutta
bass guitar, lead vocals

Virtual native of Poznań born in Wągrowiec, used to study choir singing and classical recorder, trombone and double bass, but ended up a guitar and bass player. Mariusz majored in geomorphology at Poznań's Adam Mickiewicz University. His family name probably comes from Scotland (five generations in Poland). He has a passion for music, mountains, single malt whisky and Celtic languages and is fascinated with low sounds (he's able to reach the low A) and high mountains (reached two eight-thousand metre peaks), especially with Scotland's speciality - ice climbing.






Tomasz Urban fiddle

A native of Wrocław, one of a handful of Polish fiddlers who play celtic folk, bluegrass, and country the way these styles should be played, seasoning his solos with jazz improvisation. He is taken part in folk and country music festivals both in Poland and abroad. Recorded and performed with Blue Train, Jimi's Funky Fellows, Road Runner String Band, Country Act, Mosquito Brothers, The Medley, Ellijazzer (Andrzej Waśniewski's Jewish music project) and Urban Desert Drifters. His unique solos can be heard in the recordings of Gang Marcela (Nie tylko Kasa), Magda Anioł (Kiedy dusza śpiewa) or The Medley (3 Kilometry).

Artur Grudziński
piano, keyboards

A native of Bydgoszcz, graduate of Poznań's Music Academy, versatile pianist, studio musician, and arranger. He's played with Maryla Rodowicz, Ewa Bem, Lora Szafran, done hundreds of gigs and radio and TV recordings with the elite of Polish show business. He's composed approx. 150 pieces: songs, film scores and commercials, and produced more than two thousand arrangements. Up till the year 2005 he co-produced the well-known TV show called Śpiewające Fortepiany. Since 2006 he's co-produced and co-introduced the live TV shows for teenagers Teleranek and Songowanie Na Ekranie.






Diarmuid Johnson

Born in Wales, grew up and learned to whistle in Galway. Has played with members of such bands as Altan, Dé Danann, Lúnasa, Dibenn, Kornog, Gwerz, Glaz, Sild and The Kilbride Brothers, and soloists such as Violaine Mayor, Per Tallec, Tom O'Farrell, Ceri Matthews, July Murphy, Dylan Fowler, Dan Morris, Llio Rhydderch, Tom Kannmacher. Poet, journalist, editor, translator; has taught Celtic languages in several countries. Currently lecturing in Welsh and Irish at Adam Mickiewicz University. Passions include: traveling and meeting old Gaelic singers and their sleepy dogs; Amanda's good food. Came to Poland to escape the soapy and decadent West.






Krzysztof Łangowski
electric guitar, sound engineering
musical characteristics: the speed of light and a super ear

A native of Poznań, electric guitar player and expert of the sound. Has worked as an engineer since 1999, first in music stores and at Poznań's Sport and Recreation Centre, now as a sound engineer in the University Movie Studio and co-operates with a PA system company Broker Sound. Has participated in projects such as Roland and Corvus or Mindtwister (author music). His guitar masters are: Gambale, Napiórkowski, Petrucci, Raduli, Satriani and the personalities he looks up to are: Dream Theater, Grzegorz Turnau, Pink Floyd, The Flecktones and his most recent discovery: fiddler Tomasz Urban (because of his expression and musicality).
